About the Competition
Dear all,
The Field, a global journal of the arts, humanities, and social sciences, invites you to submit your work to our Summer 2023 essay competition. It is a great opportunity to send in pieces you have already completed or put the final touches on a story or piece of art you have been working on. Our aim is to publish the best research, essays, and artistic works by secondary school students from around the world and we invite you to help us unfold our vision.
There are four categories of work you can submit: research papers, non-fiction essays, fiction, and works of art. This competition is open to any student currently enrolled in a secondary school, and the deadline for submissions will be by Friday, August 18th, 11:59PM Eastern Time.
Up to 15 works will be selected for publication in a digital anthology, and revised by our editorial board with the advice of Dr. Suzanne Smith, the judge of this competition. Three overall winners will be chosen to win gift cards for a bookstore of their choice, valued at up to $250.
You can learn more about the competition at https://www.thefieldjournal.org/competion, and email us with any questions at support@thefieldjournal.org. A sample essay can also be found, as well as some prompts that might inspire you.
Thank you for considering publishing your work in The Field and we look forward to receiving your submissions.
Best regards,
The Editorial Board at The Field
